Whale you be my Valentine? We’re starting our 2024 Gray Whale Tours in Edmonds on Valentine’s Day!
Help us kick off the new year with the love of your life. We’ll be handing out roses on tours February 14-17, 2024, and we’ve partnered with Elevated Ice Cream Co & Candy Shop to provide Handmade Chocolate Truffles as add-ons to make this an occasion to remember!
For our February tours, we’ll be operating Wednesday/Friday/Saturday. We’ll run daily tours beginning in March. Port Townsend Gray Whale Tours will start March 9, 2024
About the whales: we’re very excited that at least three of our traditional “Sounder” gray whales have returned to feed in the Salish Sea! Gray whale CRC-53 “Little Patch”, who has been a regular visitor since 1991 is back for the season. Additionally CRC-2246, a whale first seen here in 2018 is back, as is CRC-56 “Stardust”. In the coming weeks, more gray whales should arrive, stopping to feed on ghost shrimp before continuing on to the Arctic for summer.
