Some trips stand out as extraordinary! A lot of that has to do with random timing, and you just never know when those special days are going to happen. Our April 10 trip from Edmonds was one of those extra-special experiences. We had a multitude of wildlife sightings on that beautifully calm day, including 5 gray whales, California and Steller sea lions, and a bald eagle, but the highlight of our trip was finding a very playful T46B pod in Port Susan!
Sometimes breaching is contagious, and this was one of those days. Multiple killer whales had the breach vibe going when we arrived. T46B2B (Takaya) had the zoomies for sure, as she exhibited multiple breaches in a row during our visit with this prolific pod. Enjoy just a few of Takaya’s many breaches for joy on that amazing day!
