Humpbacks – orcas – mountains – sunshine! The glories of summer all in one trip on June 30, 2025. Our afternoon Port Angeles tour had it all with breaching humpbacks, hunting orcas and scenery as far as the eye could see. We started the trip watching the T46B family of Bigg’s orcas with Mt. Baker and the Olympics in the background.

We then journeyed a bit north in the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the location where a large grouping (10-25 individuals!) of humpbacks has been hanging out the past couple of weeks. Sure enough, humpback blows in all directions, before a pair of these gentle giants surfaced nearby. And then the breaching began! What a day.
