Congratulations on making a reservation with The Commander’s Beach House in Port Townsend.
One of the most popular activities for visitors to Port Townsend is whale watching. The waters in between Port Townsend and San Juan Island are home to a group of orcas – or killer whales – called “The Southern Residents.” Visiting these creatures and watching them in the wild is a special treat – and a visitor favorite! Depending on the time of year, we may also see humpback whales, minke whales or even gray whales.
“This was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen! What a fun fun day – thanks to Pete and Sarah for a great time on the water.” – Kate
Puget Sound Express is a family-run whale watching business – and from our family to yours – we are pleased to offer guests of The Commander’s Beach House a special incentive to go whale watching.
Book a reservation with us and mention you are staying at The Commander’s Beach House, and we will give you complementary helpings of Sherri’s famous Blueberry Buckle – our homemade coffeecake (a recipe passed down from Sherri’s Grandmother) that is a highlight for friends and family.
We offer Spring Gray Whale tours, day long trips to San Juan Island and Friday Harbor, as well as 4 Hour Whale Watching trips. You can reserve online right now, or call us at (360) 385-5288 to make a reservation.
Have a great time, and we look forward to seeing you on the water!
