Killer Whales Eat Seal

Yesterday, while whale watching with Puget Sound Express at Griffin Bay (on the south side of San Juan Island) we were witness to a whale vs. seal encounter on the water.

The transient killer whales were out and they were obviously hungry. Unfortunately, one seal lost his tail…more than his tail actually. Our whale watching customers got to see something that not every trip gets a chance to see.

To our customers from that trip: if you have any photos you'd like to share of the encounter, please head over to Flickr.com and upload them and tag them "psexpress" or "pugetsoundexpress."
