Things to Know
How to Prepare
While the boats have indoor seating and the cabins are heated, you will want
to bring several important items to make your experience comfortable:
Where sensible, non-slip shoes, and bring a sweater, windbreaker, hat, gloves,
sunglasses, and hopefully suntan lotion. Most importantly don't forget the
camera and binoculars!
Day of Departure
On the day of your departure, plan to arrive thirty minutes prior. You may
purchase your ticket with whatever form of payment you desire. Parking is
free, and the attendant at the ticket office will provide you with instructions on
where to park. Boarding begins fifteen minutes prior to departure.
Once on board, an attendant will show you to your seat. Every day our world
famous coffee cake is baked on board, and served soon after departure. So
be ready to be offered a large slice of this wonderful delight fresh from
the oven.
Stand By
On the departure day there is always a stand-by list maintained. If you wish
to arrive without a reservation, simply inform the attendant you wish to
be placed on the stand-by list. If there is space available, your name will
be called just prior to departure and you're off!
