Announcing Our 2017 3-Day Wildlife Photography Expeditions

We’re excited to announce that we are now taking reservations for our 2017 3-Day Wildlife Photography Expeditions.

Join professional wildlife photographer Bart Rulon and Puget Sound Express  May 9-11 and September 19-21 for an amazing 3 day experience focused on whales and other wildlife in and around the San Juan Islands.

This expedition is limited to 6-8 participants in order to optimize room for photography, and one on one photo instruction time. Our boat will be the Glacier Spirit, and your captain will be veteran whale watching captain, Pete Hanke – who is an accomplished photographer in his own right. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.

Our primary focus during this trip will be helping you take ideal shots of whales and other wildlife. With over 46 years of combined whale watching/photography experience between Bart and Pete, you’ll be in the best hands possible to get lined up with the right light for photography and with the most photogenic whales we can find.

“Bart was a wonderful guide and instructor, his suggestions really helped get the best shots. His camera skills are accomplished and as a naturalist he truly loves what he does.” – Kate Sherry, 2016 participant.

During the day, we will be on the water in the Glacier Spirit – in the evening, we’ll make the luxurious Roche Harbor Resort our home-base.
